Railway Signalling Systems - Location Case 'Power Box'
With the installation of new railway signalling systems and the up-grading of
many others, there is a growing demand for Location Cases containing the
signalling control equipment and the management of electrical supplies to this
equipment.
One of the requirements of a Location Case is the facility to maintain the
electrical supply to the signal control equipment. This is achieved by switching
between two incoming main power supplies, in the event of a failure of one of
them. Another requirement is the safe termination of the large size cables into
small isolator terminals.
In response to these requirements, we have developed the ‘Power Box’ to enable
signalling system suppliers and installers, a convenient method of managing the
